(VIDEO) Sunyani East Constituency Elects Executive Members By Popular Acclamation
Sunyani East constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has successfully elected New Executive members by popular acclamation. This was held on Sunday 1st May 2022.
A total of 1,335 delegates made up of 1,275 polling station executives and the Member of Parliament (Mp ) for the area Hon. Kwasi Ameyaw- Cheremeh all participated in the popular acclamation.
In an interview with the Sunyani East constituency election Committee Chairman, Mr. Agyei Yaw Sarkodie noted that 17 prospective candidates picked the nomination forms.
According to Mr. Agyei Yaw Sarkodie, 16 candidates submitted their forms and two of them were disqualified.
He added that one person pulled out from the race.
He revealed that two people did not show up on the election date indicating they were not interested in the contest.
Mr . Agyei Yaw Sarkodie said all the candidates were declared unopposed.
