The Member of Parliament for Subin constituency in the Ashanti Region Hon. Eugene Boakye Antwi has donated 4,000 mathematical sets to all final year candidates for the Basic Education Certificate Examination, BECE, in his constituency with a call to them to be dedicated to studies.
The stationery is to help the candidates sitting for this year’s Basic Education Certificate (BECE) to write the exams successfully. This year’s BECE begins today, Monday 7 August 2023.
He said the donations also forms part of his commitment towards the growth of education and empower school children within the area.
He further charged the students to be responsible and refrain from activities that will distract their attention from their studies.
He indicated that the Subin constituency has 38 schools comprising 10 private schools and 28 public schools. “A number of 4000 students will sit for this year’s BECE exams, I give exercise books to Junior High School one Pupil’s every year and a mathematical set to final year students every year as well”, he added.
The MP after the donation said he is an Educationist, who believes that, education is a powerful tool for human and community development.
“The future of this Nation is in your hands, we pray for protection and guidance for you, don’t be panic, write your best and you’ll make it successful. Make Subin proud, make Ashanti Region proud and make Ghana proud today and grab the opportunity to enjoy the NPP free education”
He encouraged them to keep knocking at his door, and assured them of his readiness to join hands with them to improve education in the District.
The students and staff of all the schools expressed satisfaction with the MP’s performance and wished him well in his political journey.
