Kwaku Manu should stick to his jokes and comical role in movies rather than attempting to explain serious economic policies promised to be implemented by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, lawyer George Oppong has advised.
Lawyer Oppong took serious exception to Kwaku Manu’s jovial explanation to the credit scoring system intended to be implemented by Dr. Bawumia should he be voted for as President of Ghana in 2024.
“If Dr. Bawumia is talking, should somebody like Kwaku Manu respond? Everybody should stay in their lane, you (Kwaku Manu) are able to crack jokes and we appreciate that talent of yours.
But if you want to do politics, then learn something and speak with facts then talk we can appreciate your point. God has gifted you and that is being able to live a concert life, this is something Bawumia can’t do. You can’t bring jovial comments into intellectual debates”.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, lawyer Oppong stated that it doesn’t lie in the mouth of “joker” like Kweku Manu to explain the credit scoring system to Ghanaians when a serious economist like Dr. Bawumia has proposed it.
He fired a shot at some journalist who entertain concert people on political programs by warning them to educate their guests if they are peddling lies.
”Somebody sits on your platform is goofing big time just to discredit Dr. Bawumia. In any case if Dr Bawumia speaks and we want an intellectual to respond, should it be Kwaku Manu?” he said.
