In the New Patriotic Party’s quest to compile a new party register to know the number of their members, the Ashanti regional 1st Vice Chairman of the party has warned against using the register for unofficial purposes.
Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyire has revealed that he has received some unpalatable calls including a polling station executive of the NPP carrying the party’s register to his farm and in the process, hindering members to get unto the new register.
In an interview on Wontumi TV, the Ashanti regional 1st Vice Chairman of the NPP stated that a directive has been given to all polling station executives to move to the homes of people and register them rather than taking the book to farms.
“This internal matter shouldn’t have even have come on radio in the first place. At a certain constituency, the registration book is with someone and he has gone to his farm. We have directed them to rather move to the people and register them”, he said.
Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyire explained that the National Executives of the NPP has given each region a directive to compile a list and that is what must be done before a final submission is done.
