The deputy Finance minister, John Kumah, has advised against badmouthing a request for people to make GHC100 donation towards the building of Ghana’s National Cathedral.

He claims those badmouthing the process, are inviting God’s wrath upon themselves.

“Stop bad mouthing it, else the wrath of God would be on you”, he warned.

“Do it for blessings, it isn’t by force. Anybody who is against it doesn’t want God’s blessings”, the deputy Finance minister said on Wontumi TV.

Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has revealed during the presentation of the 2021 Mid-Year review Budget Statement and Economic Policy that an initiative dubbed “100-cedis-a-month club” will be launched on August 12, to enable Ghanaians contribute to the construction of the National Cathedral.

Shortly after the presentation, some people took to social media to kick against the initiative.

But John Kumah urged the general public to ignore the rancor noting that “forget the people crying because there are more people who are ready to contribute. People are willing to help build the house of God.”
