Ace broadcaster of Wontumi multimedia and editor of ABC, Gordon Asare Bediako, has revealed that some people contesting in the Presidential race are only participating due to their hatred for vice President Mahamoud Bawumia.
Asserting on the newspaper review segment on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Gordon categorically stated that the hatred some of the presidential contestants have for the vice President, is their motivation for participating in order to prevent him from becoming the next president of Ghana, and not for goodwill. According to the ace broadcaster that action is wack and irrelevant.
He further questioned why some Members of Parliaments who have been representing their constituents were accused of not having a mind of their own, because they came out to endorse Bawumia’s candidature.
As the date for the primaries has been set by the party, nine stalwarts of the governing party have so far declared their intention to contest for the flagbearer slot. Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Trades Minister, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, former MP for Mampong Francis Addai-Nimo.
The Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, former Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko, former Presidential Spokesperson and General Secretary of the party, Kwabena Agyepong, former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Joe Ghartey, and former Minister of State, Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku.
