Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen, a former deputy general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has delivered a firm caution to Hopeson Ardoye, a former party stalwart, regarding his recent barrage of criticism aimed at the NPP.
Hopeson Ardoye, now a member of the Movement for Change political party led by Alan Kyerematen, has launched relentless attacks on the NPP, both before and after the Ejisu by-election.
In a recent interview, he asserted his ability to single-handedly undermine the ruling party if its communicators continue to tarnish his reputation.
Hopeson Ardoye also purportedly threatened to obstruct the NPP’s success in the upcoming December elections.
Responding to Hopeson Ardoye’s remarks, Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen cautioned the suspended NPP member to adopt a more relaxed approach when dealing with the NPP.
Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen expressed his bemusement at Hopeson Ardoye’s statements, likening him to a young boy in comparison to the NPP’s seasoned resilience.
He reminded Hopeson Ardoye of the NPP’s historic ‘Kumi Preko’ demonstration and emphasized the enduring strength of the NPP tradition, asserting that the party is firmly rooted and ordained by God.
