Chairman Wontumi has slammed Alban Bagbin for using his position as Speaker of Parliament to shamefully serve the interest of John Mahama and not the state.
Speaking in an exclusive one-on-one interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement TV, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) chastised the Speaker for declaring the seats of four MPs vacant following a motion submitted by Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
Chairman Wontumi emphasized that the actions by the Speaker to openly support every action of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) undermines the state.
“Bagbin is just statisfying those who elected him into power. He doesn’t care about the consequences of the state”, Chairman Wontumi said as he pinned unpatriotic action by the Speaker of Parliament on former President John Mahama.
“Mahama is behind his decision”, he simply said.
He warned Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin not to deceive himself by thinking his actions would make John Mahama come to power.
“He won’t come to power again”, Chairman Wontumi warned and insisted that President Akufo-Addo would use his set of skills to ensure power doesn’t go the way of the NDC.
