SHS Placement: Let’s Know Why Your Wards Have Still Not Be Enrolled- Free SHS Co-ordinating Council Appeals

The Free Senior High School Coordinating Council has appealed to parents to let their outfit know why their wards have been placed in the various SHSs but have forfeited enrollment.

According to Mr. Ambrose Asiedu Amponsah, the Ashanti Regional free SHS Co-ordinator, about 36,000 students who were placed in the SHS have refused to show up in the schools.

In an exclusive interview with wontumionline.com, Mr. Asiedu Amponsah revealed that, about 12,600 students in Ashanti Region are yet to attend the schools they were placed.

He said that, the parents should approach the Co-ordinating Council to find a better solution to their problems for President Akufo-Addo’s vision for every Ghanaian child to acquire free SHS come to pass.

“If the parents want to change their wards programme or want a different school they should let us know so we can help them out, “he urged.

The Ashanti Free SHS Coordinator advised the BECE candidates to be careful and vigilant in selection of the SHS.

Meanwhile, he disclosed that, students who completed JHS in 2018 and 2019 can re-apply for the school placement to also get the chance to acquire the free SHS.
