Sekyere Afram Plains To Get Its First Ever Secondary School- Odenkyem Reveals
District Chief Executive for Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency, Hon. Joseph Owusu aka ‘Odenkyem’ has indicated that, the children in the area have not benefited much from the free Senior High School policy.
According to him, the past government introduced a Community Day Senior High School in the area, “but Nana Akufo-Addo listened to our plight and the construction of dormitory blocks to accommodate the students are underway.”
In an interview on Wontumi Radio/TV Morning Show, Odenkyem revealed that, when the dormitory blocks are completed the area will get its first ever Senior High School.
He said that, most of the basic schools in the area that were in poor condition have been rehabilitated.
“We didn’t finish with the construction of the school blocks so once that Ghanaians have given us another mandate to rule, we will continue to build some in the communities that lack school buildings,” he told Oheneba Nana Asiedu.
However, the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency DCE, stressed that, armed robbers were tormenting them but a construction of Police Station has ended the predicament.
