The former Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwah, has diffused claims by Mr. Adam Bonaa security in Ghana is broken.
Reacting to the news on Wontumi TV’s Morning show, the former MP stated that when it comes to classifying Ghana’s state security, it falls under strong state.
Mr. Collins Owusu Amankwah explained that “we don’t have absolute security in the world; we only have maximum security. When it comes to state security, we have strong, weak, failed and collapsed state. Ghana falls under strong state”.
He therefore stated that it was mischievous for any security expert or analyst to place Ghana under a weak, failed or collapsed state.
From Collins Owusu Amankwah’s point of view, crime in Ghana can’t be eradicated but measures can be put in place to reduce it.
He therefore called on the Ghana Police Service to adopt smart policing techniques to fight crime in the country.
