The conversation about when is the best time for creatives to end careers have become an unending debate amongst industry players.
Whilst some think there should be a clear plan as to when a creative person should bow out, others have argued that, creativity has no end, even though it sometimes becomes stale.
The latest person to add his voice to this debate is Ghana’s celebrated Rapper, Sarkodie who has stated that he will only end his music career if he feels that he’s forcing himself to write.
According to Sarkodie, until he gets to such a day, he will in no way end his career.
Making this known in a social media post, the rapper whose exploits go beyond the African continent said: “If one day I feel like I’m forcing myself to write, I will stop music, but till then.”
Born Michael Owusu Addo, Sarkodie’s music career has spanned over a decade, winning the ultimate Artiste of the decade at the Ghana Music Awards and he remains the most decorated Artiste in Ghana’s music industry.
Beyond music, Sarkodie is known to be an entrepreneur and brand ambassador for some big brands in Ghana and across the African continent.
