The Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe has addressed the recent internal wrangling in the National Democratic Congress noting that it was a result of the approval of the Minister-designate for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Hawa Koomson.
Prior to the 2020 general elections, Chairman Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye stated that the National Director of Communications of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi embarked upon several tours to discredit the works done by Hawa Koomson when she was the Minister for Special Development Initiatives.
For this reason, Sammy Gyamfi according to Chairman Abronye who spoke on Wontumi TV wanted NDC MPs to sabotage and frustrate Hawa Koomson to satisfy his ego.
Sammy Gyamfi, in Chairman Abronye’s view, “feels he has been disgraced by NDC MPs in Parliament. Before the 2020 elections, he organized series of press conferences to tell lies about the dam projects Hawa Koomson had built across the country.”
The National Director of Communications for the opposition National Democratic Congress is on record to have heavily insulted some elders in his party for approving some ministerial nominees of President Akufo-Addo in Parliament.
In a Facebook post, Sammy Gyamfi, without mincing words, described Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu; the Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak; and the NDC-backed Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, as having betrayed the party for their selfish interests.
