The district chief executive(DCE), for Sekyere Kumawu, Samuel Addai Agyekum has slammed former president, John Dramani Mahama for involving in corrupt activities under his administration.
According to the DCE, John Mahama was alleged to have received a Ford from one contractor at Burkina Faso in his tenure of office.
“The institute of Local government studies drafted a code of ethics for Public Servants to deter them from indulging in illegal acts. Mahama as a president flouted this rule two weeks after its inception.
He accepted a gift ‘Ford’ from one contractor at Burkina. I rejected a sheep when it was offered as a gift at Oyoko, as a presiding member, before i became the DCE . The president should have done the same” he said.
Speaking on Wontumi Morning Show, on 30th May, 2024, he stated that, the opposition National Democratic Congress can never combat corruption, citing the flagbearer, Mahama as a culprit.
“Everyone knows Mahama is corrupt. Even, the former president and member of their party, Jerry John Rawlings testified to this. NDC and Mahama condone corruption. How can someone who is known for corruption fight the act” ? He questioned.
He therefore urged electorates to be wary of John Dramani Mahama and the NDC.
