A university lecturer, Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey has slammed former President John Mahama for describing the Elmina Fishing Harbour as a ‘sakawa’ project.
Addressing the issue on the Wontumi Morning Show, Mr. Kyei-Brobbey stated that the commissioning of the Elmina Fishing Port rehabilitation and expansion project in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipality of the Central Region by President Akufo-Addo, has severely exposed Mr. Mahama for making a reckless comment.
The 2020 flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is on record to have rubbished the Elmina Fishing Harbour project during his visit to the area.
“When they came they said they will construct a fishing harbour, it is a ‘sakawa’ fishing harbour. They haven’t done anything”, Mr. Mahama is on record to have said about the project which has been established by President Akufo-Addo.
Reacting to the comment by the former President on Wontumi TV, Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey underscored that “anytime Mahama speaks, it attracts houseflies.”
He continued that Mr. Mahama went to Elimina to tell them that the “fishing harbour President Akufo-Addo promised them is a ;sakawa’ project.”
Ishaq insisted that there is no value in making Mr. Mahama taste political power again based on how myopic reasons.
“Of what use is such a person?…can we make such a person our leader?” he rhetorically asked.
