“Now we do multiple planting seasons and it is helping us. I can proudly say, I harvested 500 bags this season and I have 30 acres of rice farm and a power tiller. I also have a tricycle which I use to transport my harvest home at times I use trucks too”, Hawa Seidu said.

She also thanked the government of President Akufo-Addo for the initiative noting that she has benefitted enormously from the programme and been able to personally help other farmers with seeds, fertilizers and loans.

“I have also helped about 40 women to build their own houses”, she happily said.

She continued that never did she think she could work and make much money from PFJ.
