Bawumia Was My Reliable Source Of Support In My Darkest And Most Trying Moments- Prez Akufo-Addo

It has emerged that the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, performed exceedingly well during the just ended vetting of aspirants vying to lead the New Patriotic Party in the 2024 general elections.

The vetting committee chaired by former Speaker of Parliament, Prof Aaron Mike Oquaye, last Monday, July 10, presented their report to the National Council through the General Secretary of the party.

Our sources indicates that, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia obtained the highest mark among his contenders in the race.

The Vice President had 88.3 percent with Hon Joe Ghartey following next with 77.4% and Francis Addai-Nimoh having 76.2%.

The others are, Mr. Kwadwo Poku, 75.2%, Kwabena Agyapong, 68%, Dr. Konadu Apraku, 67.8%, Dr. Owusu Afriyie, 67.7%, Hon Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, 66.5%, Boakye Agyarko, 62.35% and Hon Kennedy Agyapong having 61.2%.

Meanwhile, the committee has recommended all ten individuals as eligible to participate in the upcoming Presidential Primaries subject to the approval of the National Council.
