Rawlings Death: A Great Tree Has Fallen, Ghana Is Poorer For This Loss- Akufo-Addo Weeps
President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo says a great tree has fallen following the demise of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
In his Facebook post sighted by wontumionlin.com on Thursday, the President said that Ghana is poorer for this loss.
He said that, Government will work closely with the family of former President Rawlings on the arrangements for a fitting state funeral for the late President.
However, President Akufo-Addo has directed that all national flags should fly at a half mast for the next seven days in all parts of the country.
