The Ashanti regional chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Bosiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi has urged party executives and members to rally support for the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
In his view, this is the time for Party members to demonstrate their loyalty and commitment.
Speaking on Wontumi Morning Show, he emphasised the need for unity, citing instances.
“If you supported Bawumia in the internal elections, it is not complete and enough. Support him in the general elections so that he can win. Let’s set aside our differences and support the party. Kennedy Agyapong was one of Bawumia’s contenders in the primaries, but he is supporting and campaigning for him now.
He is proving himself. The president is also proving his loyalty so if you are a government appointee, this is the time for you to work and prove yourself. If you don’t prove yourself by supporting Bawumia, we will come after you” he stressed.
