Protozoa Expresses Gratitude To Ghanaians For The Success Of Suhum Soccer Fiesta
The Director of Political Affairs to the Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Frank Asiedu Bekoe (Protozoa), who sponsored the Suhum Kotoko and Hearts encounter, has expressed his profound gratitude to all persons who contributed to the success of the soccer fiesta.
The game featured retired players of Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
They included Amankwaah Mireku, Bernard Dong Bortey, Lawrence Adjah Tetteh, Godwin Ablordey, Charles Taylor, Frank Osei, and goalkeeper Osei Boateng among others.
A statement signed by Mr. Frank Asiedu Bekoe (Protozoa), said “With heartfelt gratitude, I wish to express my sincere appreciation to all individuals, groups and entire Suhum township for joining the trail towards our annual Suhum Kotoko versus Hearts game on Sunday.
“Indeed, I was totally surprised to see the huge numbers and the momentous support from chiefs, football fanatics and youth groups within our dear communities showing genuine love towards unity and love for football.”
It added, “I remain extremely grateful to the many volunteers, the Suhumhene – Osabarima Ayeh Kofi, the GHALCA Chairman Kudjoe Fianoo, Nana Ato Arthur, the CEO of the Local Government Service, Chief Ganiru Bakari – GHALCA Patron and the MCE for Suhum, Margaret Darko Darkwa.
The rest are Nana Kwame Dankwa of Kotoko, Alhaji Aziz Futa of Hearts of Oak and the Suhum Organisers.
“My sincerest appreciation to the following retired professional footballers Godwin Ablordey, Amankwah Mireku, Charles Taylor, Dong Bortey, Awudu Adama, Adjah Tetteh, Frank Osei, Dan Quaye, and Osei Boateng for featuring as guests players during the 10th anniversary games.
“I am very much optimistic that developing Suhum through sports is assured as we continue to work in unity.”
