Former Afigya Kwabre South Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Odeneho Kwaku Appiah also known as COKA has cautioned members of the party to desist from making derogatory comments about President Nana Akufo Addo’s legacy.
He made the call on his Facebook wall whilst addressing the need for the party to stay in government after the 2024 general election.
COKA referenced the words of former President Kufuor who said that “to be a watchman in a ruling party is always better than a General Secretary in opposition”.
According to the former Chairman of Chairmen of all the constituencies in the Ashanti region, these words have always guided him in his political challenges.
He has therefore advised NPP members who sit on social media to insult the party and President Akufo Addo to be guided.
“You sit on social media as an NPP member and destroy, support evil, post bad images, and insult your party leading member, your president, and think we can break the 8?”
COKA insisted that it is President Akufo-Addo’s legacy the governing NPP is going to use for campaign in the 2024 election.
“It is Nana Addo’s legacy we are going to use to campaign for election 2024. Let us be mindful of the things we post, forward, write, and comment about the man whose legacy we are going to rely on.’’
He also expressed the shock he gets when he sees such posts on social media.
“Who loses when we go home in 2024,” he quizzed rhetorically.
