Proposal To Make Reforms In Learning At Basic Level A Good Call- Educationist
An Educationist, John Owusu has noted that it’s a good call for the Education Ministry to make reforms in learning at the basic level.
He lamented that most of the Junior High School (JHS) students don’t know how to read and write.
“If we make changes in the learning at the basic level it will help the poor students compete with the brilliant ones,” he told Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi Radio/TV
According to John Owusu, what contributes to dyslexia is bad parenting.
He explained that “some of the pupils are not being looked after by their parents so when they go to school they don’t feel comfortable to learn.
The Educationist added that the style of teaching by some teachers also contributes to dyslexia.
He advised such teachers to change their style of teaching since the students have diversed backgrounds.
