Problem Of Ghanaian Students Not Extension Of Instruction Hours- Educationist
An Educationist, Daniel Fenyi has indicated that the current problem of Ghanaian students is not the extension of instruction hours.
He said the Ghana Education Service (GES) needs to find an antidote to the issue of curriculum, provision of textbooks, and facility problems.
Fenyi, who was speaking on Wontumi Radio/TV Morning Show bemoaned that, some primary schools lack JHS facilities.
However, he emphasized that if the GES wants to extend the instruction hours, it should first consult the students by printing questionnaires for them to answer to know the duration they will be satisfied with.
“The time the pupils and the students use to start and close lessons is dependant on their learning ability,” he said.
The Educationist stressed that pupils like the Kindergartens cannot cope with the long duration.
