The Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe has vowed to challenge President Nana Akufo-Addo at the Supreme Court if he fails to assert his authority and have Samuel Udoetuk-Wills and John Oji killed for masterminding the kidnapping and murdering of the ‘Takoradi missing girls’.
Justice Richard Adjei-Frimpong, a Justice of the Court of Appeal sentenced the two to death by hanging for kidnapping and killing four girls in Takoradi in 2018
Speaking on Wontumi TV’s Nsempa Fie show, Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye called on President Akufo-Addo to “sign so that we kill” the two kidnappers who have been slapped with a death sentence by the Sekondi High Court.
Failure on the part of President Akufo-Addo to back the death sentence as stated by the court is a slur, Abronye explains and added that “we need interpretation on this at the Supreme Court. I will go to the Supreme Court to challenge President Akufo-Addo. We don’t have to feed this people.”
Abronye contends that the nation has erred for not ensuring that people who have been sentenced to death are not killed as well.
In his view, all former Presidents of Ghana who have also not complied with such rule “are not obeying the constitution.”
