The Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre North, Hon. Collins Adomako Mensah has warned that it would be disastrous for NDC MPs to reject the current budget before the house.
in an interview on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline, the MP stated that President Akufo-Addo would be forced to declare a state of emergency if the NDC MPs should carry on with a plan to reject the budget.
“It is disastrous for them to reject the budget. When that arises, President has to declare a state of emergency and he will be given power to spend without consulting parliament. If they (NDC MPs) don’t approve, the country has to move on”, he said.
