President Akufo-Addo Congratulates Black Satellites For Winning AFCON U-20 Trophy

 

The President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo has congratulated the Black Satellites for winning Ghana’s 4th AFCON U-20 trophy.

 

According to him, the Black Satellites deserve the victory adding that they have have made Mother Ghana proud.

 

“What a way to celebrate our 64th Independence Anniversary. Kudos to the team.” President Akufo-Addo said on his Facebook page which was captured by wontumionline.com

 

He said that, he is looking forward to receiving the playing, technical and the management teams to the Jubilee House.

 

 

Ghana’s Black Satellites beat their Ugandan counterparts in the final of the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Stade Olympique in Nouakchott hosted the two teams in Saturday’s final.

 

The Black Satellites went into the game in search of not just what will be a 4th title at this stage, but also serve a perfect Independence Day gift for Ghanaians.

 

 

Coach Karim Zito made a solemn promise to Ghanaians during his pre-match press conference and he ensured that happened against tournament new boys Ugandans who per pedigree had exceeded expectations before Saturday’s encounter.

 

Ghana had hope, belief and history backing them, but Uganda had momentum and Derrick Kakooza to lead their charge for a first AFCON title.
