Praise Chairman Wontumi For A Good Fight In The Ashanti Region And Don’t Discourage Him – Kusi Boafo
The Chief Executive Officer of the Public Sector Reform, Thomas Kusi Boafo has stated that he sharply disagrees with people calling for the resignation of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako.
According to him, Chairman Wontumi as he is popularly known, is a saviour in the NPP and he must be commended for his selflessness and not utterances to discourage him.
Some pro NDC journalists, including Kwame Tanko of Kumasi based Angel FM, have taken to their networks to criticize Chairman Wontumi for not winning his Agenda 47/47 vow in the days leading to the Election 2020.
But in a quick contrast, Mr. Kusi Boafo in an interview on Wontumi Morning Show explained that Chairman Wontumi has worked satisfactorily to the admiration of well meaning Ghanaians and it is quiet emulating.
“Chairman Wontumi fought for a good cause to maintain power for the NPP,let’s commend him and stop calling for his resignation,” he stressed.
He continued that a lot of post-election traps abound and the NPP should not allow itself for such unnecessary comments or agitations to derail their process of good governance adding that it will necessitate a penetration by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“When victory comes, a lot of things happen.People set traps in post-election matters and this is the time for the NPP to be vigilant, especially with some radio presenters,”he told host, Oheneba Nana Asiedu.
