Climbing up the political ladder and having the constitution ceding some power to Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin, could be corrupting him, David Boakye has sadly observed.
The Bono East Regional Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in an interview on Wontumi TV stated that recent claims by the Speaker of Parliament that he can remove President Akufo-Addo from office, is a clear manifestation that “power can corrupt you.”
Mr. David Boakye warned that the pride Hon. Alban Bagbin is exhibiting since he became Speaker of Parliament, should be a lesson to the NPP.
He challenged the Speaker of Parliament to show Ghanaians where the constitituion states that he has the power to remove the President from office.
