POST 2O20 POLLS: Demonstrating, Going To Police Station And Court Will Not Change Anything- Chief Tells JM

Nana Oteatuoso Kokoben II, has told the Presidential candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 election, John Mahama, that the spate of demonstrations, invading police stations and planning to go to court to challenge the election results cannot not in any way change the outcome of the polls.

He said that, John Mahama should be aware that, acts of vandalism by some NDC supporters cannot impose economic hardship on Ghanaians.

“The whole world is watching what you are doing whether good or bad. You want to destabilize the country and govern who?” Nana Oteatuoso questioned the former President when he appeared on Wontumi Radio and TV Morning Show on Monday morning

“Everybody is saying that, if you don’t understand anything go to court so what has been the obstacle?” He quizzed Mr Mahama

Nana Oteatuoso indicated that, it is only the court that can order for the recounting of the ballot papers.
“The country was stable when Nana Akufo-Addo was elected as the President so he will not tolerate any acts that can destabilize it.” .He emphasized.

Nana Oteatuoso noted that, he is at his wits end to understand how some of the demonstrators who are finding life difficult have allowed themselves to be incited by the NDC leaders to risk their lives.

He told Oheneba Nana Asiedu that, even if John Mahama gets the opportunity to rule the country for ten decades he still cannot do any better thing for them.

He further cautioned that the actions by the demonstrators could provoke the security agencies to go on the defensive when the situation gets out of hand to teach them a lesson they cannot forget

Nana Oteatuoso appealed to the security agencies to protect the lives of Ghanaians since the NDC supporters are bent on sustaining the spate of demonstrations.
