Politics Of Insults: Take The Plank From Your Eye First- Obiri Boahen Chides John Mahama

The Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Obiri Boahen has tasked the flagbearer of the NDC and his running mate to retract their assurance that they would not engage in politics of insults ahead of the December elections.

Obiri Boahen made reference to a statement made by John Mahama when he introduced Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as his running mate to the leadership of the Christian Council of Ghana on Wednesday.

According to the private Legal practitioner who was speaking on Wontumi Radio and TV, John Mahama made the unguarded statement in the just ended voters’ registration exercise.

“John Mahama has been a president of Ghana before so I am always cautious comments pass about him. But let me add that he should be careful with his utterances because if he crosses the line we will also cross it.” He cautioned

Lawyer Obiri Boahen indicated that, because of John Mahama’s political expediency and selfish interest, he practices ethnocentrism.

The NPP Deputy General Secretary question that, why didn’t John Mahama tell the Christian Council to condemn the unguarded statement Agyin Asare made about Nana Akufo-Addo and the EC during the voters’ registration exercise?

He admonished the NPP to stop raining insults on John Mahama and the NDC for “the battle is the Lord’s”

Lawyer Obiri Boahen was happy to acknowledge that, Asiedu Nketiah brought six persons to participate in the voters’ registeration exercise but nobody insulted him.

“There is a clear indication that, the NDC party will collapse so there is no need to Insult them.”
