National Co-ordinator of Monitoring and Evaluation Secretariat (MES) at the Office of the President Madam Gifty Ohene Konadu on Thursday began an inspection tour of the government’s priority projects in Ashanti.
The projects Madam Gifty inspected on the first day of the tour were the redevelopment of the Kejetia Central Market and the Mother and Baby Unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
Speaking to Wontumionline.com, the MES National Coordinator said President, Akufo-Addo is so much concerned about the development in the Region particularly, those initiated by the NPP government and has tasked her to do a case study of their progress and furnish his office with her findings.
“The president is passionate about completing projects all high-priority projects his government has initiated in the Region and would do everything possible to complete them. That’s why I’m on this mission.” She said
Madam Gifty who expressed satisfaction at the progress of work at the Central Market promised that she would visit other high-profile projects in the road, health and education among other key sectors in the coming week before she reports back to the President.
Madam Gifty Ohene Konadu was accompanied by a team of senior personnel from the MES secretariat.
The special tour by the MES National Coordinator will last one week.
