(PICTURES) KUHIS Old MmeranteƐ Donate Smart TV To Alma Mater
The 1971-1976 batch of Kumasi High School (KUHIS) has presented an 88 – inches laser Smart TV worth Ghc 35,000 to the school.
According to the batch, today marks exactly 50 years their names were found in the register of the school and decided to donate the smart TV to the school to mark its anniversary.
Speaking exclusively with Wontumionline’s Nana Owusu Achiaw, the convener of the group who is based in the United States, Hon. Osei Assibey boasted that Kumasi High School is the first and only SHS in the country to amass such smart TV.
“This is just the beginning. We will continue to do more for our alma mater,” he asserted.
Hon. Osei Assibey advised the final year students to marry their books and come out with flying colours as they write their final exam.
The Headmaster of the school, Bernard Hall Baidoo who couldn’t hide his exhilaration said: “This school is a pure boys school and the TV will help us in many ways. The students will no longer leap over walls to go and watch the European and local football matches.”
Hall Baidoo added that “there is an adage which goes like “all work and no play make Jack a dull boy.” Explaining that the TV will aid the students to relax during weekends. We are very grateful to the old students for this kind gesture.”
