Paul Pogba Tests Positive For COVID-19, Dropped From France Squad

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has tested positive for coronavirus and will miss France’s UEFA Nations League games in September.

His national team coach, Didier Deschamps, has announced the 23-man squad for the matches against Sweden and Croatia.

The big news is the return of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot to the France squad.

Les Bleus will face Sweden on September 5 at the Friends Arena in Solna and then host Croatia at the Stade de France three days later.

France’s 23-man squad for September’s Nations League games:
Goalkeepers: Hugo Lloris, Steve Mandanda, Mike Maignan.

Defenders: Lucas Digne, Leo Dubois, Lucas Hernandez, Presnel Kimpembe, Raphael Varane, Clement Lenglet, Dayot Upamecano and Ferland Mendy.

Midfielders: N’Golo Kante, Eduardo Camavinga, Steven N’Zonzi, Adrien Rabiot, Houssem Aouar and Moussa Sissoko.

Forwards: Wissam Ben Yedder, Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann, Anthony Martial, Kylian Mbappe and Jonathan Ikone.
