Paa Kwasi Nduom Not To Contest 2020 Election- PPP Comm. Officer Discloses
Communications Officer of the opposition Progressive People’s Party(PPP), Richard Boadu, has hinted that, Dr. Paa Kwasi Nduom will not be selected as the party’s flagbearer in the 2020 elections.
He said consensus has been sought on the matter leading to an agreement that the party will present a new face in the December election.
Speaking on Wontumi Radio and TV Morning Show in Kumasi Mr. Boadu refuted claims by a section of Ghanaians that the party is for Paa Kwasi Nduom .
“He supports the decision that he would not be allowed to lead the party in the December polls.” He said
The PPP Communications Officer disclosed that, the party will unveil Mad. Brigitte Dzogbenuku, who was Dr Nduom’ running mate in the 2016 election as their flagbearer for the elections tomorrow 12th September, 2020.
“The party will launch its manifesto on 19th September, 2020 after unveiling Mad Dzogbenuku.”
He said that, four persons contested for the flagbearer slot when the nomination was opened but two stepped down leaving Madam Gibenu, and one William Duopor as the two contestants.
According to Mr. Boadu, Mr. Duopor later stepped down and lend his support for Mad. Gibenu.”
Mr. Boadu affirmed that the 1991 Miss Ghana has her own Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that focuses on the interest of women and Children.
