Over to you if there’s no peace in this election – Chairman Wontumi to IGP

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Wontumi, has sent a strong message to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akufu Dampare, saying he should take responsibility of peace in this elections

Chairman Wontumi, has made it clear that he expects the IGP to ensure peace and order during the electoral process.

He issued a stern warning to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its presidential candidate, John Mahama. He declared that the NPP is fully prepared to counter any attempts by the NDC to cause chaos in the Ashanti Region

Chairman Wontumi has assured the public that the upcoming elections will be free, fair, and transparent. He further guaranteed that nobody will be a victim of election violence or distraction, ensuring a peaceful and secure electoral process.

He said any attempt to cause chaos or rig the election will be met with twice the force by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

This bold statement comes as tensions rise ahead of the elections, with concerns about violence and unrest.
