His royal majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has blessed vice President Mahamudu Bawumia to be Ghana’s future President, Chairman Wontumi has said.
Addressing a mammoth rally held to climax the campaign of Bawumia at the Upper East region, Chairman Wontumi stated that, he has been sent by the people of Ashanti region to challenge them to vote and elect Bawumia as flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party.
“Otumfuo saw him (Bawumia) and called him his grandson, it means he has favour from God and man. He has named him Nana Agyeman”, Chairman Wontumi said.
Dr Bawumia will contest for the flagbearership slot along with three other contenders including, Kennedy Agyapong, Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and Francis Addai-Nimoh.
The NPP has slated November 4, 2023, to elect a successor to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as leader of the party
But in Chairman Wontumi’s view, amongst all the candidates, it is only Bawumia who can win the NPP power.
