Ofosu Ampofo And Asiedu Nketia Contest Would Turn Into Shaolin Vrs Shao-Kahn Fight- Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, is predicting that the contest between Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia would metamorphose into a “Shaolin” verses “Shao-Kahn” fight.

The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, who was commenting on the gunshots incident which rocked the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Ashanti Regional executives election last weekend, stated that things would even get uglier when it gets to Ofosu Ampofo and Asiedu Nketia’s contest for National Chairmanship position.

He noted that firing of gunshots when it comes to NDC elections, were things which are not strange but normal for the party.

There was a near stampede when gun shots were fired into the air at the ongoing National Democratic Congress (NDC) Regional Executives Election.

People were seen running helter skelter when 5 protracted gun shots were fired.

The gun shots followed the arrest of a ‘machoman’ who allegedly slapped a police officer at the main entrance of the event.

Some group of heavily built men had gone to intervene for the release of their colleague but the police fired the warning shots to disperse them.

“One machoman slapped the police man and they put him in the car.The other 10 macho man wanted to take their guy out of the car and the police fired 5 shots and we all started running away,” an eyewitness said.

The arrested machoman has been whisked away by the police.

The incident, however, did not record any injury or affect the voting process which was going on smoothly.
