Offinso South: MCE Nominee, Kingsley Owusu-Appiah Endorsed After Heated Presiding Member’s Election
After a heated Presiding Member’s election at Offinso South Municipality, the President’s MCE nominee, Kingsley Owusu-Appiah was confirmed as the Chief Executive by the Assembly members.
Kingsley Owusu-Appiah secured 42 out of the 43 votes cast, representing 97.67%.
Owusu-Appiah speaking exclusively with Wontumionline’s Nana Owusu Achiaw said he is grateful to God after the tense atmosphere the election was successful.
The former NPP Constituency Youth Organiser pledged not to be discriminatory adding that, he will collaborate with all and sundry.
“I will serve with honesty. The laws will be reinforced,” the new MCE said.
According to Owusu-Appiah, he will quadruple the Assembly’s Common Fund to guarantee the progress of Offinso South Municipality.
“Kingsley Owusu-Appiah is hardworking, committed and honest. And he will not disappoint the President,” the MP for the area, Hon. Dr Isaac Yaw Opoku whittled in.
He advised the new MCE, to work assiduously so not to disappoint the President.
Hon Dr Yaw Opoku expressed hope that the Assembly Members will support Owusu-Appiah.
