Obuasi: Akufo-Addo Cuts Sod For Commencement Of €55m Trauma & Accident Hospital (VIDEO)
President Akufo-Addo has cut sod for the construction of €55 million Trauma and Accident hospital in the Obuasi Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
Speaking with the Nananom and residents on the last day of his tour of the Region monitored by wontumionline’s Nana Owusu Achiaw, the President said the Trauma and the Accident Hospital will be among the hospitals the government is building.
According to him, the Fomena hospital will soon be completed being the constituency of the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
Akufo-Addo urged the Obuasi residents to repose faith in him because all the promises he made before becoming President have been fulfilled.
The New Edubiase Chief, Nana Oduropanin Berekwan, urged the contractor to complete the project on time.
Nana Oduropanin Berekwan pleaded to the government should give the contract to a local contractor to build the edifice.
He said the hospitals in the Municipality are overstretched and for that matter, the trauma and accident unit will solve the menace in the various hospitals.
