Obiri Boahen Slams NDC’s Pursuit of Kingsley Nyarko Over Bribery Allegations as “Political Opportunism”

Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen, the former Deputy General Secretary of the ruling NPP, has strongly condemned the opposition NDC’s demand for the arrest of Deputy Minister designate for Education and member of parliament for Kwadaso Constituency, Hon. Kingsley Nyarko, amidst allegations of bribery towards EC officials during the Ejisu by-election.

In a fervent statement, Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen rebuked the NDC for what he described as their indulgence in unscrupulous political tactics.

During an interview on a Kumasi-based radio station, he cautioned against being swayed by the NDC’s tactics, emphasizing that such behavior has become a trademark of the opposition party.

Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen argued that the gesture of offering an envelope to the EC officials by Hon. Kingsley Nyarko should not be hastily labeled as bribery. He further asserted that similar actions are commonplace, implying that the NDC routinely engages in similar practices without reproach.

He urged individuals to refrain from passing judgment on the matter, suggesting that it is emblematic of the NDC’s habitual political maneuvering.
