OB foundation donates educational materials to support Ahafo Ano South District Schools ICT Quiz And Debate Competition

In an effort to improve educational standards in the Ahafo Ano District, the OB Foundation has contributed to this year’s annual schools ICT quiz and debate competition by donating educational supplies worth thousands of cedis.
Students from different schools will receive 10 laptops, 5 desktops, 1 Epson projector, 1 box of readable textbooks, and a cash of Ghc2,000.

Dr. Emmanuel Osei Boateng, the founder of the OB foundation, president of the Ashanti Regional Draft Association (ARDA) and a technical member of the Ghana Draught Association (GDA), believes it is important to always give back to society particularly by supporting education as a component of development which is crucial.

“If you want to fall part of the global village, there are accessories that can help you operate more efficiently and stay on track and also, you cannot exist or accomplish anything in the technological world without computer.”
According to Dr. Boateng, the resources would undoubtedly help to improve teaching and learning.

The donation was intended to inspire and assist students in their academic endeavors by giving them hope.
This was an effort to mitigate the modest setbacks that have plagued basic education in the district. It gives the students a glimmer of hope that, despite the obstacles they will experience during their school years, there is a light at the end of the tunnel if they persevere.

Dr. Emmanuel Osei Boateng appealed to philanthropists and other organization within and beyond the district to support the youth by providing them with basic schooling resources.
