Private legal practitioner Maurice Ampaw, has scolded the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong for falsely accusing government of destroying his business on the basis of paying the rightful tax.
Lawyer Ampaw described Hon. Kennedy Agyapong of being the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) main problem and accused him of encouraging others not to pay their taxes through his actions.
“NPP’s problem is Kennedy Agyapong”, lawyer Ampaw said and tagged the Assin Central MP as selfish.
“You don’t want Ghanaians to know it is their constitutional duty to pay tax? Because GRA is monitoring you, you claim Nana Addo government is intimidating you”, the celebrated lawyer said on his show on Wontumi TV.
He also shredded the presidential ambition of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong into pieces noting that his tax evasion tactics would handicap him from raising revenues to fund programs in an unlikely event he becomes President of Ghana.
“Your selfishness is making you play propaganda and creating an impression government is overtaxing you. How can you be President, Kennedy Agyapong if this is your thinking? You want the relevant agencies to become armchair…how would you raise revenues to implement your programs if you want to be President?” he quizzed.
