The New Patriotic Party (NPP) would determine whether John Mahama would be allowed to even cast his vote at Bole Bamboi in 2024, Nana Obiri Boahen has said.
The deputy General Secretary for the NPP was responding to the do-or-die comment by Mr. Mahama which many have condemned.
Lawyer Obiri Boahen in an interview on Wontumi TV stated that gone are the days the National Democratic Congress (NDC) used to intimidate some members of the NPP when it comes to elections.
He described the current crop of NPP members as hardcore who were prepared to reply in equal measure should Mr. Mahama think about creating chaos during the 2024 elections at various polling stations.
“Don’t underrate the NPP now, the NDC used to intimidate us but now the NPP is hardcore. If Mahama jokes, we will decide for him at Bole Bamboi polling station” he warned.
Mr. Mahama claims he is preparing to face the 2024 Presidential election in a “do-or-die” mode.
Speaking on Akina radio, he stated that he has learnt political lessons in 2020 and realized that elections are won at the polling station.
To add to his strategy of winning elections at the polling stations, John Mahama stated that he will lead the NDC to turn the 2024 into do-or-die affair.
