The Managing Editor for the Insight Newspaper, Mr. Kwesi Pratt Jnr., has discredited a report by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) that ranks Ghana, as the second most peaceful country in Africa.
According to Mr. Pratt, Ghana’s security situation has become worse under President Akufo-Addo.
“When you look at mobile money operators who have been shot, in fact, two have been shot just this morning and you look at the bullion vans attacks and so forth, and someone tells us Ghana is one of the most peaceful countries in the world; what does that mean?”, he asked, asserting that “we, the citizens, are all living in fear and panic. The way things are going is very dangerous”.
But Nana Oteatuoso Kokobeng II has responded to the claims by the newspaper editor stating that he (Pratt) has constantly proven that he doesn’t see any positive thing the government of President Akufo-Addo has achieved.
According to him, Mr. Kwesi Pratt “doesn’t see any positive thing when the NPP is in power” adding that “he goes mad whenever he hears Akufo-Addo’s name.”
He called on Mr. Pratt to move out of Ghana if he believes the security situation of the country has deteriorated.
Nana Oteatuoso commended and called on the government of President Akufo-Addo to make strides and move the country from second to first in Africa.
