The popularity of Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia keeps soaring amongst Ghanaians and a traditional ruler cum a trend analyst has predicted that in 2024, Ghanaians would vote massively for him at the polls.
Nana Oteatuoso Kokobeng II in an interview with Oheneba Asiedu on the Wontumi Morning Show observed that members of the New Patriotic Party should note that Vice President Bawumia’s appeal has broken barriers and his is widely regarded by Ghanaians to rule after President Akufo-Addo.
“Bawumia is coming for Ghanaians and not the New Patriotic Party (NPP). NPP can wait but we Ghanaians are ready for him”, Nana Oteatuoso Kokobeng II boldly said on the show.
Addressing some concerns raised by some members of the NPP that it is too early to look for a successor for President Akufo-Addo, Nana Oteatuoso Kokobeng II explained that the party can’t wait for the last hour to start marketing a formidable candidate to lead the party into the next elections.
He was quick to add that doing so wouldn’t put a brake on the wonderful work the Akufo-Addo led government is doing of which Vice President Bawumia plays an integral role.
“We can’t wait for the 11th hour before we break the 8. We won’t wait for 2022 to declare Bawumia, we will do it today”, the traditional ruler said.
