NPP Campaign Team Tasked To Make “AGENDA 47/47” A Reality
A regular panelist on Wontumi TV/Radio’s early morning political analysis programme hosted by Oheneba Nana Asiedu, has set the rules for the 35 member of the NPP Ashanti Regional Campaign team that will make them not only effective but relevant in meeting the party’s objectives.
“Go to the field not merely to trumpet the achievements of the NPP. As you venture into to communities to spread the NPP’s good news, you don’t only ventilate your passion for the party or simply make cursory references to the project profiles by listing them. Your task is to explain in detail, the full long-term economic and social benefits of all the monumental achievements of the NPP as they affect the interest of the individual you encounter, the community in which he/she lives and the nation as a whole.”
Nana Oteatuosso Kokoben, who is the Akwanserehene of Akyem Kwabeng insisted that it is only when campaigners have explained the party’s achievements exhaustively and convincingly that the voter can decide to vote in favour of the party to make the” four more for nana’s” slogan a reality.
Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako who is the chairman of the campaign team who was also on the same programme challenged the members of his team to follow the foot steps of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who has been tireless in touching base with people at the grass roots as well as performing other functions that can enhance the party’s chances of retaining power
“All the achievements of Nana Addo will be in vain if we fail to perform our individual tasks with a similar sense of dedication and commitment ”
To make the team more effective and also visible, Chairman Wontumi noted that several committees would be formed and launched in the constituencies.”
He gave the strongest assurance that the team will achieve its objective of securing 90% of the 3,612,950 total votes in fulfilling the 47/47 agenda.
Background Of Launch Of Campaign Team
The Ashanti Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), yesterday inaugurated a 35-member campaign team under the leadership of its Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako ( Chairman Wontumi ) for the 2020 general election.
The committee which includes all the regional executives, Ashanti Regional Minister Hon. Simon Osei Mensah and his deputy, Madam Frema Opare who is the Chief of staff was inaugurated by the General Secretary, John Boadu on Tuesday.
The team’s task is to make sure that the party wins all the 47 Parliamentary seats and their Presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, wins massively in the upcoming December elections.
Mr. Boadu urged them to do more to retain the NPP-led government to continue serving the country.
He said the country needs leaders who can continue to work hard amid Covid-19 and not just people who talk without action.
Mr. Biadu noted that the NPP has a clearly focused campaign strategy to redeem the people from poverty and continue the good works it has started
For his part Chairman Wontumi promised to work with the grassroots so that the science and data’s manifestation will retain NPP in power
