The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called for calm within its ranks and file especially its Majority Caucus in Parliament following the calls for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to sack some of his ministers.

This follows a press conference held by some members of the Majority group in the House calling for the immediate dismissal of Ken Ofori-Atta, Minister of Finance, and Charles Adu Boahen, Minister of State at the Finance Ministry.

A press release issued by the party,  Tuesday, October 25, 2022 and signed by the National Chairman, Stephen Ayesu Ntim, in reaction to the press conference held in Parliament today by the NPP MPs said the leadership of the party is engaging government and Parliamentary group on the matter.

The party is therefore urging members to remain calm as it takes steps to find an amicable resolution to the impasse.

“The leadership of the party, herein reiterates its commitment to at all times engage government on issues of interest and concern to the party, government and the citizenry,” excerpts of the statement read.
