“NPP always builds what the NDC has destroyed ” the Ahafo Regional Communications director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Frimpong Andrews has stated.
According to him, the governing New Patriotic Party has made enormous efforts to restore forests that were impoverished under the opposition National Democratic Congress’ administration.
This statement comes in the wake of the Green Ghana Day which was celebrated on last Friday, nationwide.
Speaking on Wontumi Morning Show, on 7th June, 2024, he extolled president Akufo-Addo for initiating the Green Ghana policy, which aims at restoring the depleted forest and to combat climate change.
“The Ahafo region went on a very dangerous path under the leadership of NDC, when Collins Dauda was the minister of Lands and Natural resources. It was that time we saw our forests being destroyed. They cut down all our trees.
We started recovering our forest when president Nana Addo initiated Green Ghana project. Now, we have planted over 3 million trees in Ahafo enclaves.
This is also the same strategy that was used by former president, JA Kufuor to rebuild our forest when he was in power. It is obvious that the NPP builds what the NDC has destroyed ” he stressed.
He further entreated electorates not to fall for the words of the NDC.
