The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has cautioned former President John Mahama to stay away from commenting on Ghana’s current economy situation since the track record he left “stinks like rotten egg”.

Mr. Mahama is expected to speak on Ghana’s economic situation and this was confirmed by his aide Joyce Bawah Mogtari on Facebook.

“John Mahama speaks on Ghana’s collapsed economy and the unprecedented hardships sweeping across the land and the way forward on Thursday 27th October at 7pm”, her post read.

But Chairman Wontumi told Wontumionline.com that it was shame a disgracefully person like Mr. John Mahama can gather courage to speak on Ghana’s economy when he has duped the state during his time.

“I expect John Mahama to use the forum to tell Ghanaians how he used Ghana’s name to get into the infamous airbus deal. I want John Mahama to tell us about how he wanted to give Ghana’s bauxite concession to his junior brother Ibrahim Mahama. I want John Mahama to tell us how the bus branding contract helped Ghana’s economy. I want John Mahama to tell Ghanaians how ‘dumsor dumsor’ helped Ghana’s economy”, Chairman Wontumi said.
