Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has touted the achievement of the Akufo-Addo led government when it comes to job creation.
Speaking at launch of the Business and Assistance Programme put together by YEA, the vice President noted that the event is testament to the government’s commitment towards job creation.
According to him before the New Patriotic Party came to office, there was graduate unemployment association.
He however pointed out that frantic and conscious efforts have been made government to turn the story around and get people employed into both the private and public sector.
“We have recruited in the private and public sector a total of 2.1 million people in the last 7 years. This is hard data. 2.1 million People; 975,000 by the private sector and 1.2 million by the public sector. No government in the 4th republic or in the history of this country has been able to recruited that number of people, this can not be challenged”, he boldly said.
